Gracious and loving God, hear our prayers:

We pray for authorities and all working to control the coronavirus and those who are directly affected, especially here in Victoria.

In this NAIDOC WEEK we pray for the first peoples of this land. May there be lasting peace and reconciliation between us all.

Holy God, who loves justice that rolls down in an endless stream, support with your Spirit those who are unjustly accused, particularly those who find themselves imprisoned because of their faith in Jesus.

We pray for all leaders responsible for good decision making in these challenging times, and for the Church that it may show forth everywhere the beauty of the gospel in in a world of darkness.

Bless the Uniting Church, our Synod and Presbytery, and your people here in Armadale. Help us to grow in faith, trust and obedience.

We thank you for our own health and well-being, and pray for the sick and members of our congregation who are undergoing medical treatment and procedures this week. We pray for those feeling the effects of isolation, for students whose education has been affected. We pray for the anxious and guilty, for all who worry about what tomorrow may bring. Lift these weights from them so they let go of their fears. We pray for parents and carers of young children, for those finding it difficult to provide for their families or themselves.

Lord, in your mercy,

Hear our prayers.

Loving God, help us to love you and fear not. As we rejoice in the fellowship of your saints, bless our families and friends and our loved ones now in your care. We ask all this in the name of Jesus Christ, who taught us to say:

Our Father ….
